I started Studio Huske in 2021, with two small boys at home.

I am an architect myself and I work in Zurich. With a group gift, nobody wants to pick something that ends up in a drawer. Here is what works well for one, and how it gets straight to the family.

From the changing table to the dining table

At first the Wriggle is a changing mat. A year or two later it sits under a plate, then under watercolours and play dough. The bigger mats go on the floor, for play and crafts. Many mats are still in use years later.

The silicone leather is waterproof and independently tested for stain resistance, and a damp cloth is usually enough. The mats are certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100/1, the class for baby products. Designed in Switzerland, made in Korea.

Clara San Millán lives in Zurich and, like me, trained as an architect before turning to illustration full-time. Her drawings have appeared in The New York Times and Hochparterre, among others.

Straight to the family

Shipping within Switzerland is free from CHF 125, and every pair is above that. Each mat comes in a huske belly band, and the packaging is plastic-free.
