About the illustrator
Clara San Millán is an illustrator based in Zurich. Her work is influenced by architecture, design, nature and history. She has drawn for The New York Times, Süddeutsche Zeitung and the children's magazine Anorak, and she self-publishes her own fanzines and prints.
Before our first launch, Clara designed the Huske packaging: the illustrated thank you card, the colouring-in page and the drawing on this tote.
As Clara describes it:
Ta-chán! was born as the celebration of discovery, at any time and in any situation, led by the ritual of unrestrained fantasy that is unleashed while playing.

Compared with a bag made from new polyester, each tote saves about 1 kg of CO₂. It is made from plastic that already exists, so less raw material is extracted and less plastic ends up as waste.
The longer the tote stays in use, the better. Here is how to look after it.
01
Wipe it clean
Most marks come off with a damp cloth, so it rarely needs a wash. That saves water, energy and detergent.
02
Hand wash cold if it needs more
Cold water cuts the energy a wash uses by up to 90%.
03
Folds into its pouch
It folds into the small pouch it comes with, so it is always in your bag and you can skip the plastic bag at the till.
04
Made to last
It is built for years of use.
05
When it wears out
Take it to a participating textile-recycling bin, such as those at H&M and Decathlon. There the JIAREN scheme collects the fibre and recycles it into new textiles.
Why this bag
For this limited edition with Clara San Millán, I chose a bag made from recycled polyester that wipes clean and needs very little care. I wanted her drawing on something people keep using for years.
