What makes a good splat mat?

It needs to stay flat (no tripping on curled edges), resist staining from food and paint, clean without effort, and look decent in your kitchen. Silicone leather does all four. It is certified non-toxic (OEKO-TEX Class 1) and vinyl-free, so your child's high chair is not sitting on a PVC sheet.
