Does sand stick to it?
No. Sand falls right off the silicone surface. Shake the mat and it is clean. This is the single biggest advantage over fabric picnic blankets.

Will sunscreen stain it?
Silicone leather resists sunscreen, which is the number one permanent stain on fabric picnic blankets. Wipe any residue promptly.

Is it comfortable to sit on?
Yes. Silicone leather is warm to the touch, not cold like plastic. It has a soft, slightly textured surface that feels pleasant against skin.
