Privacy policy

Your privacy is important to us. It is Studio Huske's policy to respect your privacy and comply with any applicable law and regulation regarding any personal information we may collect about you, including across our website, https://www.studiohuske.com, and other sites we own and operate.

This policy is effective as of 19 April 2021 and was last updated on 17 April 2026. It reflects the requirements of Switzerland's revised Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG / revDSG), which came into force on 1 September 2023.

Information We Collect

Information we collect includes both information you knowingly and actively provide us when using or participating in any of our services and promotions, and any information automatically sent by your devices in the course of accessing our products and services.

Log Data

When you visit our website, our servers may automatically log the standard data provided by your web browser. It may include your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, your browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on each page, and other details about your visit.

Please be aware that while this information may not be personally identifying by itself, it may be possible to combine it with other data to personally identify individual persons.

Collection and Use of Information

We may collect personal information from you when you do any of the following on our website:

  • Contact us via email, social media, or similar technologies
  • Subscribe to our newsletter or marketing communications

Legal Basis for Processing

Under Swiss law (nDSG), we process personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance: Processing your order, managing delivery, and handling returns.
  • Legitimate interest: Website analytics, fraud prevention, and improving our services.
  • Consent: Sending marketing emails and newsletters. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
  • Legal obligation: Retaining transaction records as required by Swiss accounting and tax law.

Profiling and Automated Processing

We use Klaviyo (see Third-Party Processors below) to segment our email list and personalise communications based on your purchase history and browsing behaviour. This constitutes automated profiling under the nDSG. You have the right to object to profiling at any time by emailing us or unsubscribing from marketing communications.

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant impacts.

Third-Party Data Processors

We share personal data with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf:

  • Shopify Inc. (Canada/USA) — e-commerce platform, order management, payment processing. Shopify Privacy Policy.
  • Klaviyo Inc. (USA) — email marketing, customer segmentation. Klaviyo Privacy Policy.
  • Yotpo Ltd. (Israel/USA) — product reviews. Yotpo Privacy Policy.
  • FedEx / Swiss Post — delivery and logistics (name and delivery address only).

All processors are contractually required to protect personal data and use it only for the specified purpose.

International Transfers of Personal Information

Some of our processors are based outside Switzerland. Where personal data is transferred to countries without an equivalent level of data protection, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as standard contractual clauses) in accordance with the nDSG.

Security of Your Personal Information

When we collect and process personal information, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss, theft, and unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.

Although we will do our best to protect the personal information you provide, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We will comply with all applicable laws in respect of any data breach.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to you, we will notify you without undue delay and, where required by the nDSG, will report the breach to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

How Long We Keep Your Personal Information

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need to. Order data is retained for 10 years as required by Swiss accounting law (OR Art. 958f). Marketing data is retained until you withdraw consent. If your personal information is no longer required, we will delete it or make it anonymous by removing all details that identify you.

Children's Privacy

We do not aim any of our products or services directly at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under 13.

Your Rights Under the nDSG

As a person whose data we process, you have the following rights under Swiss law:

  • Right of access (Art. 25 nDSG): You may request confirmation of whether we hold personal data about you and a copy of that data.
  • Right to rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data where there is no overriding legal obligation to retain it.
  • Right to data portability: You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to profiling for direct marketing purposes.

Supervisory Authority

If you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with the nDSG, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): www.edoeb.admin.ch. If you are resident in the EU, you may also contact your local data protection authority.

Use of Cookies

We use cookies to collect information about you and your activity across our site. A cookie is a small piece of data that our website stores on your computer and accesses each time you visit, so we can understand how you use our site. Limits of Our Policy
