Extra Large Waterproof Play Mat, Silicone Leather, Indoor & Outdoor, OEKO-TEX, 135 × 180 cm, Gallivant XL

It is. It's also the last one you'll buy. It covers a dining table worth thousands.

Substantial enough to stay flat on grass, stable enough that three children can't shift it. One reviewer said they wouldn't take it to the Badi (outdoor pool) for a quick dip. Fair. At this size it comes into its own on a long afternoon out. For something lighter, the Explore (1.1 kg) is more grab-and-go.

All folded mats do. Lay it flat and use it. The creases fade as you use it. A few family dinners and they're gone.

That's the non-slip side doing its job. Smooth side faces up (the surface you use). Grip side faces down (holds the mat in place). If you're using it on a floor long-term, clean the underside periodically. It's working, not broken.

Lilac/Red and Beige/Wine. The flagship size has the most curated palette. Both are neutral enough for permanent table use and bold enough for outdoor visibility.

One customer reported a circular colour change on their floor. That is one report and I have not worked out the cause. If your floor is sealed or lacquered, lift the mat now and then rather than leaving it in one spot for months.

No screen shows it exactly. The colour you live with is the smooth side that faces up. If it arrives and it is not what you pictured, it goes back within 60 days, clean, undamaged and in its original packaging.

Yes. The mat warms a little in the sun like anything left outside. The material is heat-resistant so that does it no harm, and the grass underneath won’t burn. No burnt rectangles, no awkward conversations with the lifeguard.

After outdoor use: Shake off debris, wipe with a damp cloth. Sand falls right off.

After table use: Wipe with a damp cloth or wet wipe.

Stubborn marks: Gentle soap and water.

Deep clean: Hand-wash gently. You can machine wash on your most gentle cycle (wool/delicates), but for maximum longevity, hand-wash.

Heat-proof: You can iron on it, place hot baking trays on it, use it as a surface for anything household-hot. The only exception: red-hot coals (BBQ embers) will burn through.

Do not: Dishwasher. High heat + food residue can coat the silicone surface with a film. If someone puts it in the dishwasher by mistake: submerge the mat in a pot of gently boiled water with washing-up liquid for 30 minutes, then rinse. The film lifts off.

Storage: In daily use, damp is fine as long as it is clean. For long-term storage, treat it like camping gear and store it dry.

Non-slip side: Usually faces down (grips tables and floors). At the beach, flip it: smooth side down so sand doesn't catch in the grip texture. Will collect dust and hair on floors. That's it gripping. The fastest way to clean the grip side: submerge the mat in water. Everything releases instantly. Much quicker than wiping.

Every Studio Huske mat is 0.7 mm thick. It won't cushion a fall the way a foam mat does, but it isn't hard like vinyl either: it feels soft underfoot and warm to the touch, and the leather-like grain is lovely to run a hand over. Being thin is what lets it fold into a bag or drape over the edge of a table, and it is tougher than the number suggests: the material is tested to 20,000 abrasion cycles. If a baby on a hard floor needs something softer underneath, lay the mat over a thin rug.

The same silicone as the top surface, finished with a texture so it grips instead of sliding. There is no rubber backing, no PU layer and no separate anti-slip coating. Smooth side up, grip side down.

Yes. The mats were produced and certified under OEKO-TEX Standard 100/1. That's the strictest class, written for baby products, including the ones that end up in a mouth. In the lab, the material was checked for harmful substances such as phthalates, formaldehyde, heavy metals and bisphenols, and every result came in under the limit. It was also independently tested for more than 30 PFAS compounds, and none were detected.

How big is 135 × 180 cm, really?
One and a half times as wide as a single bed, and a little shorter. Four people sit comfortably with room for a picnic or art supplies. It covers a standard 4-person dining table.

Will it protect my dining table?
Yes. One customer with an American cherry wood table says it "thanks me every second." The non-slip underside grips without scratching. No chemical adhesives, no suction cups. Just the grip texture holding it in place.

Is it too heavy for the beach?
At 1.9 kg it's heavier than a towel but lighter than most picnic setups. It folds into a tote bag. One reviewer takes it camping. Another said it might be too heavy for a quick Badi trip. Depends on your tolerance.

Can adults use it too?
Absolutely. One reviewer specifically noted that it's "really handy for adults as well." Customers have used them as desk mats, under sewing machines, and even as bike-cleaning surfaces.

Is it safe for babies?
OEKO-TEX Standard 100/1. Tested for harmful substances, safe for direct contact with baby skin. One customer uses it for their baby to lie and roll on.

Does it smell?
No. Silicone leather is VOC-free. No chemical smell, even at this size.

Do the mats contain PFAS?
The finished fabric was independently tested for total fluorine and more than 30 individual PFAS compounds in the most recent testing round, none detected. Across two years of laboratory reports, not one individual PFAS compound has been detected. No test can prove an absolute, so the full numbers are published in the PFAS lab results article.
