The Lilac Pair contains three things: the Roam Round (105 cm diameter, 680 g) in lilac, the Explore (135 cm diameter, 1.1 kg) in lilac, and the limited edition LOQI tote illustrated by Clara San Millán, with its small carry pouch.

Does the mat slip on wooden, vinyl or tiled floors?

No. The underside is slightly textured to stay steady on smooth surfaces. If the floor is dusty or has polish residue, wipe it with a dry cotton cloth before placing the mat. Avoid microfibre on wooden floors: it can damage the protective layer on the floor.

Can the mat go in the washing machine or dishwasher?

Yes, on a gentle cycle, but the less it goes in the machine, the better. Most days a damp cloth is all it needs, because the non-porous surface keeps mess on top. For a deeper clean, hand washing is best for the mat long term. If you do use the machine: delicate or hand-wash cycle, cool water, mild detergent, and never with heavily soiled laundry. No tumble dryer, and the dishwasher is a no-go. Let it dry fully before you store it for a while.

How do I clean the mat properly?

Use warm water, a soft cloth and gentle soap. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive scrubbers or bleach as these can damage the surface.

Is the mat safe for babies and toddlers?

Yes. Huske mats were produced and certified under OEKO-TEX Standard 100/1. They are free from PVC, BPA, phthalates and latex, and they have no odour. They are safe for daily use from birth and suitable for sensitive skin.

Is it safe for warm plates or trays?

Yes. The mats can replace an oven glove or heat mat, and they handle warm dishes straight from the oven. Keep them away from red-hot coals (BBQ embers), which sit above everyday cooking heat.

Will food stains or colour transfer mark the mat?

Most marks wipe away with warm water and a gentle soap. Very strong pigments, such as turmeric, tomato sauce, beetroot or certain craft materials, may leave a temporary tint. These usually fade over time with regular cleaning, light pressure and sunlight exposure.

Are Huske mats really waterproof?

Yes. Huske mats are fully waterproof, not just water resistant. Spills pool on the surface and can be wiped clean instantly with a soft cloth. The silicone is non-porous, so nothing soaks in.

How durable are they? Will they crack like vinyl?

Silicone leather will not crack, curl or become brittle, and sun and age do not fade it. Acid left to sit for hours can change the colour where it pooled. The mat still wipes clean and stays waterproof there, only the look changes. Keep bleach off it altogether. Vinyl often hardens over time and shows stress lines, especially when folded. Huske mats stay soft and flexible for years and can be folded or rolled without damage.

Can I use this as a baby play mat?

Yes. The Explore is made for tummy time, early crawling and floor play. The Roam Round works just as well on the floor, or under the high chair at mealtimes.

What if I do not like the colour or the size?

Will pet nails damage the mat?

Normal pet movement is fine. Very sharp nails or repeated scratching can leave light surface marks, similar to any soft silicone product.
